Implementation of the Kerangka Sampel Area (KSA) in October 2023

KSA is defined as a sampling approach technique that uses area as the enumeration unit. This system is based on geographic information system (GIS) technology, remote sensing, information technology and statistics which are currently used in Indonesia to collect agricultural data and food crop information. The KSA approach can provide accurate and timely data and information to support national food security program planning. The implementation of the KSA in October 2023 will take place on the last 7 days of the month, namely 25-31 October 2023.

A total of 80 segments and 720 KSA observation points for rice in Lampung Utara Regency. The implementation of KSA uses an application that requires officers to execute it at a predetermined time so that continuous observation can be carried out at that time.

The recorded images will be sent directly to the BPS server for observation by filling in a form which will then be verified by the supervisor of the images taken by field officers at the points that have been identified.
