Abstract

In September 2023, combined year-on-year (yoy) inflation for the two cities in Lampung was 2.27 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 117.09. Yoy inflation in Bandar Lampung City was 2.27 percent, with a CPI of 117.08 and YoY inflation in Metro City was 2.27 percent with a CPI of 117.14.
Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.78 percent; clothing and footwear group 1.77 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and household fuel group 0.95 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group 1.70 percent; health group 1.10 percent; transportation group 0.33 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 1.32 percent; education group 3.68 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group 1.06 percent; and the personal care and other services group 2.09 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the information, communication and financial services group which experienced deflation of 0.31 percent.
The main commodities contributing to inflation yoy in September 2023 include rice, filter clove cigarettes, intra-city transportation, garlic and white cigarettes.
The month to month (mtm) inflation rate for September 2023 was recorded at 0.33 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for September 2023 was 2.10 percent.

October 2023, there will be inflation year on year (yoy) for the two cities in Lampung combined at 3.06 percent. The highest inflation occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco group at 7.93 percent.

In December 2023, inflation occurred year on year (yoy) for the two cities in Lampung combined at 3.47 percent and the highest inflation occurred in the food, beverage and tobacco group at 9.36 percent.

In August 2023, combined inflation in the two cities in Lampung will be 3.27 percent

March 2023 year on year (yoy) combined inflation of the two cities in Lampung is 5.59 percent

December 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province will be 1.57 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Mesuji Regency at 1.78 percent
