BPS-Statistics Lampung Province held a Forum Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "Improving the Quality of Export Data" on Monday, November 27 2023. This activity was held at the Golden Tulip Hotel Bandar Lampung.
This FGD was also attended by regional officials from the Lampung Province Industry and Trade Service, and the West Sumatra Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (Kanwil DJBC). The speech from the Head of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province in opening the event was represented by the Intermediate Expert Statistician of BPS-Statistics Lampung Province, Riduan, M.Si. Lampung Province BPS regularly releases foreign trade statistics, which include information on export value, import value and trade balance. The benefits of foreign trade statistics as an indicator of the economic development of Lampung Province, so that the export and import data collected must be of high quality. The FGD was carried out to obtain a clearer picture of export and import data which has been collected by data sources and disseminated by BPS-Statistics and utilized by data users.
Export data is one of the strategic economic indicators in Lampung Province. Therefore, efforts need to be made to improve the quality of export data so that it can be utilized optimally by various parties, one of which is through this FGD which is expected to be a means of coordination and discussion to discuss various problems related to export data.
BPS-Statistics Lampung Province has provided export data which can be accessed for free via its official website, at Lampung.bps.go.id. This data can be used by various parties, both government, private sector and the general public, for various purposes.
